I wasn't really an unschooler, but I found some of their ideas interesting. There were many different messageboards in those days and lots of lively discussion.
And this is a picture of my supper. Dee-whishus!
I'm looking forward to four days off! On Sunday I'm planning to get together with an old friend who used to work in the deli with me. She retired a few years ago after her husband passed away. We have lots of catching up to do and hopefully we can compare notes and find out how we can help each other.
And now off to bed to get rested for my long weekend!
Shalom, all! :)
Hi LIsa! Your salad DOES look delish!
ReplyDeleteI hope you rest up this weekend and have fun drawing!
four days off!! that would be great! enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteThis kind of "lazy" activity is not lazy at all, because it involves a lot of mental and emotional work, sorting through your life's history, represented in books and binders and papers. It seems to me it's a good kind of gentle work that can be done when you are in the aftermath of a huge loss and change. I agree with others in previous posts who warned against being hasty about anything that doesn't require it. Take care of yourself. God bless you!
ReplyDeleteyour supper looks great! my supper was vanilla yogurt and a tot of B&B. today started out frigid...at 7 a.m. it was 18 below zero and I had to do chores in those temps. all I want is a flannel nightgown and a good book. sweet dreams.
ReplyDeleteOh, message boards :) They WERE lively discussions, weren't they -- no matter the topic! It's like all of us suddenly were given an opportunity to spout off, and we DID :) That salad is gorgeous -- what deep color, and pretty blueberries. They keep you so healthy.
