An after-school treat!

Thank goodness for basketball! Bob is busy watching the Timberwolves in the next room, so I felt guilt-free in taking some time to "do art". As long as I leave the door open it seems like we're in the same room, so I'm not hiding away, being unsociable. He's fine with it as long as I don't complain about him watching too much basketball. In fact, he just delivered a bowl of ice cream to my art desk!

Here are a couple of things I did in my prayer journal when in a Hebraic mood...

And this is a drawing of an old house. Not finished yet, and I know the angles and perspective are all wonky, but it's a challenge I wanted to undertake. I'm looking for a house for the heroine of my novel to live in. Maybe...

Well, it sounds like the game is over. I'd better go out and be sociable! :)

I'm really enjoying the book, Pom! Hopefully, I'll carve out a little time now and then for art!

Shalom, y'all!

WOYWW?!?

What's on My Workdesk today? (It's actually Tuesday, but those of us on this side of the pond have to get a head start on things!)
Well, it may not look like much, but I'm outlining a book I've had playing out in my mind for YEARS. I keep putting off working on it because I tend to be an all-or-nothing type. (If I can't write it all today, I won't even start. Or something ridiculous like that!)

Anyway, my hubby is down at the local high school enjoying a basketball game, so I thought I'd take advantage of the peace and quiet to work on this outline. To the right of my computer you see my tinwhistle. This is another of my loves that has gone by the wayside because of college work. But I'm working on learning "Concerning Hobbits". It's fun to get it out and dust it off and do a little something. I probably won't have much time once school begins again on Monday. But why not enjoy it while I can?
So, I'm off to do those two things! Have a great WOYWW everyone! And if you don't know what WOYWW IS go to Julia's blog where you can get the hang of things!

My favorite New Year sentiment:

I said to the man
who stood at the gate of the year,
'Give me a light that I may tread safely
   into the unknown.'
   And he replied ,
   'Go out into the darkness
and put your hand into the hand of God.
   That shall be to you
   better than light
and safer than a known way !'
   So I went forth
and finding the Hand of God,
trod gladly into the night .
And he led me towards the hills
and the breaking of day in the lone East.

Okay, trying out the new way of adding photos...

I did a little zentangling the other day. The first I've done in quite a while!

It was fun! This week's tangle looks kind of difficult, but I may give it a try tomorrow. It's late, so I'm making this short.

Au revoir and shalom from Minnesota! (I think I have the hang of this Picasa web album thing!)

Problem posting pictures...

My blog isn't giving me the option of posting photos from my computer. I wonder what's going on...
The browse button doesn't come up. Hopefully it's a temporary glitch.

I'll try again later.

Have a great weekend! I'll visit some blogs instead. ;)
