I am one of those folks who have never been interested in cooking. My patient and forgiving family can attest to this. BUT, I have had an interest in Israeli cooking. I want to experience the aromas and tastes of the holy land, since I may never get to visit this side of heaven.
Today, I was dropping off some books to donate to the book sale when I decided to browse the shelves. I was actually looking to see if they had copies of the Gervase Phinn books, but I came across THIS...
YES! I grabbed it off the shelf, along with a couple of other cooksbooks and headed for the checkout. I just now ordered a copy from Amazon. This may solve my problem of not knowing what to make for dinner. I hope the recipes can be reduced for one person. Otherwise, Micah and family will be doing some Middle Eastern eating with me!
Anyway, it's late, so I won't drone on. I hope to get back soon to blog on whatever's been happening. It's a working weekend and I've signed up for yet another Sketchbook Skool term. Never thought I would, but what can I say? I'm weak... :)
Y'all have a great weekend! God bless and shalom!
How nice that you found the exact cookbook you were needing. I imagine you'll be cooking up a lot of Couscous and barley as well as strange new grains.
ReplyDeleteHappy October to you.
How adventuresome of you, Lisa! Happy eating!
ReplyDeleteI'll be looking forward to hearing about your cooking adventures. I like foods from that part of the world, so you will inspire me to cook a little more than I have been doing.
ReplyDeleteAs to falling into the temptation of a sketchbook school term, I call that a strong form of weakness.
Looks delish!!! You might also want to check out cooking sites and youtube videos online. There are so many, and maybe even some for single eaters. Yummy!
