Hey, there! I probably won't be doing much blogging until I get my own internet, which will probably be when I move out to my daughter's place (where I am right now). That could be a couple of months. As I type two grandkids are leaning over my laptop, dumping sandwich parts in my lap, so...
Anyway, in good news, my daughter's MOPS group (Mothers of Preschoolers) is discovering the hygge movement! She loves the idea!
Well, too many distractions. Just wanted you to know I'm still alive! I'll be visiting as I can!
Love y'all!
Shalom!

Quick one...again.
Hi, all! I'm just typing from the library again. :)
It's hard to know how to dress these days! It's supposed to be 80 today, but it started out 60 and overcast, so I'm wearing jeans and a flannel shirt. Hope I don't roast later. Fortunately, the library and Walmart (my two destinations) are known for being cold. Yay.
MK, glad to see your house looks to be in good shape. Wish I could grab my rake and come help you clear up the debris! I hope the storm has worn itself out. I seldom hear news, so I'm pretty much out of the loop. I've sent up some prayers for you!
My furnace still isn't working. I'm hoping the repairman will have the needed part by Monday. This warm weather may not hold out forever!
In the last week or so my daughter and I have experienced a weird phenomenon, twice. Both days were overcast with small areas of blue sky showing through. We've heard something like a jet passing over, but it doesn't pass over. It seems to go in circles, gets quieter, returns and circles and gets louder. It doesn't sound like a helicopter. It sounds like a jet. (Or a spaceship...) This lasts for several minutes. The first thing that leaped to mind was a harrier jet because they can hover. We can't SEE anything "up there" because of the clouds. The first time this happened (Monday, Oct. 10), Micah and I were standing together on her back deck. The second time (yesterday) I was at home. I called Micah (four miles away) and she said she had just texted me to see if I heard it! I didn't get the text. Oh, man! Now they're scrambling our communications! LOL. My daughter's friend, who lives 7 miles away, heard it too. A couple of others have also heard it. One hypothesis is that it might be something on the ground, and the sound is bouncing off the cloud layer. Any ideas? Wee-oo-wee-oo... ;) I'm sure there's a perfectly rational...(boring)...explanation. Weigh in with your thoughts.
Here are my latest creations.
OH, almost forgot. I believe I'll be returning to my old roots at the Faithbridge Baptist church. I help with AWANA (a children's program) there on Wednesdays and my heart just wants to be back there. The folks at the Church of Christ in Nevis have been very good to me, but it just doesn't feel like home like Faithbridge does. I was figuring out how long Bob and I went there. I think it's been almost 20 years, though we haven't always been regular. I think this summer at the C of C has been a good experience for me. It's taught me to break out of my shell a bit and hobknob with people I don't know well. Anyway, I thought I'd add a note here. It's awkward pulling out when I've been so involved, but it just seems like the right thing to do. I often let others make up my mind for me just out of a sense of not wanting to hurt feelings. They will surely be fine without me. ;)
You folks have a GRAND weekend! I love you!

Another birthday!
Sully Man aka Bubba turned 2 yesterday! He got a mango smoothie to celebrate, and an exclusive "him only" trip to the grocery store with Mom and Grandma! (He thought that was pretty cool, lol.)
And Della went to her first half-day of preschool on Monday! She goes two days a week for 3 hours. She ADORES it!
Weekdays are full with dropping people off and picking them up again at different times of day, but it's fun to all be together. Now we're adding in midwife appointments, eye doctor appointments and a chiropractor appointment for Micah. Life on the road...or babysitting at home. :)
That's all I have time for now. Thanks for checking in!
Shalom, friends and family!

Happy birthday, Hazel!
Hazel turns six today! (Actually, that was yesterday...) This was her outfit for school.
This was her last sleep as a five year old. Micah takes pictures of everything!
Here's the whole gang on Tuesday morning. The first day of school!! Hazel and Audrey started Tuesday, but Adele doesn't start preschool until next week. She'll go two days a week for 3 hours. She can't wait!
Here are the last two of my Trick or Treat ATC's.
Micah and the girls will be back soon, so I'll close for now.
Thanks for stopping by to visit, everyone! I'll be checking up on you!

This is the only picture I took at the Spirit Life concert last Saturday.
I find it hard to blog from someone else's house. I'm at Micah's babysitting while she picks up the girls. Sully is asleep in the recliner, and Adele is playing quietly and watching a cartoon, so I don't have any interruptions, but it's just hard to contemplate and come up with anything great to say, ha ha. (So, what's new, you may ask?)Micah and the girls will be back soon, so I'll close for now.

Catching up!
Still having internet issues and I haven't been online for a few days. It's already September 3rd?!?
I had a full weekend. Our little church put on a concert that we call Spirit Life, on Saturday. This is the sixth year they've done this, and my first. We had 4 young fellows who did separate sets. Three are local worship leaders and one was from Dallas. I liked them all. One reminded me a lot of my Jordan in singing, guitar playing styles and in appearance. I really liked the young man from Dallas. I've asked Jordan if he's familiar with him. His name is Chris August and he has a Stevie Wonder kind of sound. In fact, Stevie was his favorite musical influence as a youngster. (He seems way too young to know who Stevie Wonder is! LOL) I bought one of his CD's called Seasons. I haven't purchased any music in ages and need something to listen to in the car. :)
OH. I guess he was on American Idol and won a Dove award. I'm so out of it! How on earth could we afford him? He must be humble. ;)
On Sunday we had a group of 40 men from the Adult and Teen Challenge program. They were such a great group of guys. They sang and several gave their testimonies. All are in the long-term program for alcohol and drug abuse. They joined us for potluck afterwards. It was quite a crowd for our tiny church, but we sure enjoyed having them! In the evening a group of us came back together for what we call The Gathering, which means we eat a little supper together (leftovers from the potluck!) then have a prayer gathering. There were about 15 of us, and it was such a good time together. I'm being blessed to be a part of this little family.
It's going to be a busy fall/winter/spring between church ministries, AWANA, and helping Micah with kids and the new baby. Hopefully, it won't be TOO long before I move out here (I'm typing this from her house) where I get better internet and I can keep up with online friends more easily.
Here are a few photos of current ATCs and some 4x4 "Chunky pages" I've made lately for trades.
These first two are for a Trick or Treat swap.
The 4x4 pages were for a Woodland Creature swap.
Micah and her family are taking their annual Labor Day excursion to Itasca Park and the headwaters of the Mississippi, so I'm enjoying their quiet house and great internet, lol.
Micah took these two pictures a couple of days ago when the internet repair guy was here. She said Sully would hug the guys' legs every time he came back in the house. On his last trip inside he found the kids like this, and said, "The internet must be working!" (They had been running around like wild things before that.)
A couple of seconds after posting the above photo on Facebook Micah took this photo. Note Sully. He's a sudden sleeper!
I don't think I showed you this photo either. Micah was doing the dishes and looked down to see this.
He just runs and runs until he can't run any more! I suppose later he'll get sophisticated like the rest of us and realize he should sleep only in designated areas. Ha!
I think that's all of my new news for now. Now for laundry!
Love you guys! Thanks for dropping by!
