That's my Audrey!

I don't know how many of you will remember this picture from about 3 years ago. My granddaughter, Audrey, had decided to climb out of her crib and had fallen. She broke both bones right above the wrist.
Well, this is Audrey today! She fell off the monkey bars at school. This time the fracture was right above her elbow.
I don't know about you folks, but I've made it through 60 years without breaking anything! I guess some just have a different skill set, lol. I was visiting with Micah at home when the school called, so I watched the two middle girls while Micah took baby Sullivan and Audrey to the clinic. Christmas break starts tomorrow, so she won't get to show off her new sparkly blue cast (which she'll get on Friday) until after the break. No more excitement, please, Audrey!

Micah and I spent the earlier part of the day doing errands together in town. I'm looking forward to just staying put at home tomorrow. ;)

Shalom and Merry Christmas, everyone!

  1. Poor baby! I feel sorry for the dear girl, but she looks like she's a good sport about the whole thing.
Love the skating gnomes. Merry Christmas, Lisa!

  3. Poor little Audrey. I hope her arm heals quickly.
I had never broken any bones either until the past 3 or 4 years. Collarbone and another time my wrist. Fell down some stairs but didn't break anything that time. I'm getting careless on my feet as I get old(er).
    Have a wonderful Christmas

  5. Oh Lisa, how awful to have a broken arm during the Christmas break! Like you, I haven't broken anything (mine is 82 years) except possibly ribs in the early 70s when I was trying to open the trunk of my VW bug. The car trunk was warped and stuck, the pavement was rain slick, and my feet flew out from under me slamming me into the car. I hope I stay break-free since I imagine my bones aren't as good as they used to be. This is my 4th Christmas without my dh. God is good and is watching over me. I wish you a merry Christmas, blessed in every way.

  6. She looks pretty spunky. I hope she doesn't take up rock-climbing!
