The crud...

I've been sick since January 28th when I posted about Mom going to heaven. I thought I was getting better about a week ago, then after working the weekend things began going downhill again on Monday. At that time it seemed like the flu (which I'm assuming is what I had) turned into something in my sinuses. My sinuses aren't hurting really bad; just enough to bother me a bit and I'm a little head achey. I seem to keep getting a little fever each evening (like 1 degree). I took 2 aspirins yesterday and 2 just now. That's about all I've taken. If I'm still feeling cruddy on Monday I guess I'll give in and go to the clinic. I know my insurance won't cover the visit, so I'm being cheap. I can afford it, I'm just being stubborn, plus, the clinic is so crowded since everyone has this junk. But two weeks is long enough!

Okay, now that I've whined, here are my latest faces for the 29 Faces challenge, then I'm going blog visiting!
I also checked out a bunch of movies from the library, so I'll be having a marathon at some point. :) (Oh, yeah. I managed to get to the library book sale, no matter what!)

Hope everyone is staying well!
Love and shalom to all!

  2. Dear Lisa, the flu in Bavaria catches in these weeks so many people! I also don't feel really healthy, in the evening I mean also I have 1 degree more, and my nose follows me since several weeks. Many people say the same. And there is another flu with bad stomach and one with high fewer. Today my eldest son is ill with 39,5 degrees high fewer. I must not get this fewer because of my job with the sheep! there is no real help for this flu-infect, the best you can do is aspirins. I wish you better days, please do drink a lot!

  4. Lisa, your faces are wonderful drawings. I think two weeks is long enough to wonder what's wrong. I know, this is a bad time to sit in the doctor's waiting room with all sorts of germs abounding. Hope you are feeling so much better soon.

  5. Lisa, That sinus thing is so miserable. I have had it off and on for a couple of years (since I had pneumonia)...before that I never had a sinus problem in my life. Hope you can get yours taken care of.
Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you don't have to go to the clinic after all. xo Diana

  6. I sure hope you start feeling better soon. One of my favorite home remedies for sickness is raw garlic. I chop it into tiny bits, let it sit for 10 minutes and then swallow them with a chaser of water. Also drink lots of hot herbal tea and water.

Your faces are beautiful. Do you draw from an image in your mind or do you find something to look at when you draw. Well done, friend!

    1. Thanks for the remedy advice and yes, I do use a photo when I draw. I can't draw much of anything without a reference photo! :)

  8. Sorry you've been feeling awful. This seems to be "that time of the year" for colds and flu. Keep cozy and drink lots of tea. Maybe even chicken soup. It can't hurt, right?

  9. Lisa, do be careful. Adam had "the crud" too, most of January, and he put off going to the doctor. He ended up with bronchitis, and then pneumonia :( Don't wait too long!
