I'm trying to trick myself into commiting to training for some 5k's this summer. One way of doing this is to invest in a new pair of shoes. These were actually some of the cheaper shoes ($69) but, since I'm not going for the Olympics, I thought they would do just fine. I thought I would immortalize them in pen, ink and paint.
This salesman could have sold ice to an eskimo, so I bought a can of waterproofing spray. Would you spray waterproofing on shoes that are made of mesh and are supposed to "breathe"? Anyway, Bob can use the stuff on his shoes! :D See my model posing?
The finished artwork...
Well, it was my first attempt at shoes. At least I did a little art! I think shoes compare to cars in being difficult to capture (for me, anyway). So maybe I'll try drawing a car sometime...

Shalom for now!
I think it looks great! And now, you have a spare shoe, right? -- if you need it :)

ReplyDeleteBrilliant! It's so good having bouncy, new trainers...they really give you a boost!
ReplyDeletePerhaps you should paint wings on them to go faster in the 5k run!
Your drawings are so good, Lisa. I especially love the horse on your blog header...he has the nobility of a unicorn!
Have a lovely day,
xx Alex
Wow! You are good, good, good!
ReplyDeleteYay for you and your art!
I think you did an awesome job with your art of the trainers! My DDIL is training for a 5K this spring and just said she needed new shoes. Thanks for dropping by and visiting at my desk! I enjoyed getting a peak at your projects and looking yours! Have a great week. Vickie #11
