Pen and Ink...and maybe some paint

Voila! A new home!

Well, things happened fast and I'm moved into new digs. My daughter's friend had a place for rent and I snapped it up. It's actually half of a trailer house that's been made into an apartment. It's located in a small RV park here in Nevis, so in the summer I'll have RVers for neighbors. I think it will be kind of a unique experience. Right now I'm surrounded by lots of pine trees and I'm enjoying the sound of the wind in the pines. My neighbor (who rents the other half of the trailer) is an 82 year old gentleman, who is very quiet. One of my neighbors at the old apartment used to live in this trailer and she said "neighbor Bob" is very friendly, so I look forward to meeting him.

I seem to be having problems uploading pictures. Probably because my wifi here isn't as strong? I'll try to upload some pictures later, but I wanted you to all know about the move.

Right now I'd better get off this computer and start unpacking some things. I'm having fun playing house! Oh, I even have a little deck outside. When I came home from work there was a large white rabbit under the deck. Wonder where it came from? I'll have to ask my new landlord. ;)

Love you guys! Thanks so much for all of your encouragement over the last couple of months!

Shalom and blessings!

  1. I'm so happy for you that you found a new home. I love that you are surrounded by pine trees and can hear the sound of the wind. It sounds so peaceful. Have fun making the apartment into your comfy space!!

  2. This place sounds delightful. So glad you have a new home. Enjoy setting your things up.

  3. To be near the trees again - perfect. I hope your art table scores a prominent place in your cozy new home. A white rabbit? Welcome home, Alice!

  4. Well! That's mighty exciting and quite a relief!. I think living in a trailer park like that might be a lot of fun. Folks who travel around are usually adventurous and interesting. Plus, in the "off-season" it will be quite and peaceful, as you say.
When I saw your new banner photo up there, I thought right away that bird was YOU, sitting in your new place, squawking in joy!! :) Enjoy your new home. I hope it works out wonderfully for you and improves your life!!

  5. That sounds great, Lisa! What a blessing that you are so unencumbered and "mobile" as to be able to take that opportunity when it presented itself.

  6. Congratulations for this encouraged decision! The white rabbit is an excellent first creature in your new environment to say hallo and to bring good luck!

Thanks for dropping by! I'd love to hear your thoughts! :)
