Have you seen this lady on YouTube?

I know many of you ladies out there are fans of Beatrix Potter and Tasha Tudor. I just came across this lady on YouTube who reminds me of a mix of these two artist/authors. She calls her channel
Jeri Landers of Hopalong Hollow. (You'll need to type this channel name into the search box on YouTube. I can't get the link to work.) She makes felted animal characters and is also an illustrator. Her house is filled with cool, old stuff a la Tasha Tudor. And she likes to make tea and scones and such during the videos. Really fun to watch!

I took a few photos of my computer screen. They sure don't do the subject justice. This lady has lots of collections of old books, natural things like butterflies, bugs, bones, feathers, etc. And her felted creations are amazing! She also does a lot of herb gardening. She's just one of those folks that work/play ceaselessly to keep all of these things going. I wouldn't want to try to keep up, but it's fun to watch someone else do it! :)

Just thought I'd pop in and let you know about this. I'm loving it!

Oh, and a few of my latest ATCs. We were supposed to draw pictures inspired by favorite artists.

Shalom to all!

  1. The latest youtube female sensation in my world is the Headteacher of some London school called Michaela, where she has gone wholly hardcore and, among other things, you're not allowed to talk in the corridors between classes. Her book is a sell-out, apparently. I am too scared to watch!

    2. A GREAT SPELL CASTER (DR. EMU) THAT HELP ME BRING BACK MY EX GIRLFRIEND.
Am so happy to testify about a great spell caster that helped me when all hope was lost for me to unite with my ex-girlfriend that I love so much. I had a girlfriend that love me so much but something terrible happen to our relationship one afternoon when her friend that was always trying to get to me was trying to force me to make love to her just because she was been jealous of her friend that i was dating and on the scene my girlfriend just walk in and she thought we had something special doing together, i tried to explain things to her that her friend always do this whenever she is not with me and i always refuse her but i never told her because i did not want the both of them to be enemies to each other but she never believed me. She broke up with me and I tried times without numbers to make her believe me but she never believed me until one day i heard about the DR. EMU and I emailed him and he replied to me so kindly and helped me get back my lovely relationship that was already gone for two months.

  2. I think I'm going to enjoy this Jeri Landers. I've found it on You tube but haven't got time this week to watch much . DH's sisters are visiting from out of province. I appreciate your mentioning her. I'm always on the look-out for interesting videos to watch. Although I often end up feeling somewhat useless because the ones who make the videos can do so many things and so well too.

    1. I know what you mean. She's pretty good about confessing her shortcomings when it comes to gardening and cooking, but she enjoys those things anyway. That's one reason I like her! :)

  3. I used the link, and clicked the first video. Snow-rain in her spring garden. Then she begins to make the cakes. The actual video she makes is made on Febr.27th! She makes a special kind of cakes and she uses wonderful old kitchen-tools. Nice music and quiet hands. Reminds of you, dear Lisa!

  5. I think some of your favorite artists must be some of mine, too! I love your inspired pictures. Who inspired the one of the boy riding the bird?

How about Edward Ardizzone? Do you like his illustrations? I just "discovered" him via an Instagram friend, and I got a bunch of books that he illustrated from the library. Started reading Long Ago When I Was Young by E. Nesbit that he illustrated. He did the Little Tim books, which you probably know about. I didn't!

    1. The boy on the bird was from a book called I'll Be You and You Be Me by Ruth Krauss. The illustrations are by Maurice Sendak. Edward Ardizzone sounds familiar! I'll have to check him out! :)
